Read Across America Week

main image

Fun things are in store as we celebrate Read Across America at PAES!!! Read Across America is designed to highlight the joy and adventure of reading.

Read Across America is timed to include the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss (March 2nd).  We think Dr. Seuss would be quite pleased... kids + books + fun = AWESOME (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed).

Students in the lower grade wing (K-2nd) will be participating in a Dr. Seuss themed spirit week (don't be shy, parents... you can join in the fun too if you want!)

MONDAY -  HAT DAY ~ Wear a hat to school (Cat in the Hat)

TUESDAY - SOCK DAY ~ Wear fun or mismatched socks (Fox in Socks)

WEDNESDAY - WACKY WEDNESDAY ~ Dress up in a silly way (Wacky Wednesday)

THURSDAY - GREEN DAY ~ Wear as much green as you can (Green Eggs and Ham)

FRIDAY - PAJAMA DAY ~ Wear your jammies as we celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday

Please help your child to get into the spirit, get creative and have fun as we celebrate the JOY of READING!!
