Portland Adventist Elementary School

PAES was founded in 1885 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and has served the Portland area continuously since that time. In 1974 PAES was built at its present location in west Gresham on twenty-three acres, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Our campus includes a large one-story school building with a gymnasium, multiple sports fields, a school garden and a generous playground.

PAES serves a diverse population and welcomes students of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds who desire an opportunity to have Christ and the teachings of the Bible as part of their education. The blended Christian environment of our school is one of our strengths. We are committed to lifting up each student as a special child of God.

CORE VALUES

We are just as committed to teaching academic excellence as we are to teaching character through our school's core values, The 5 C's.

The 5 C's are: Caring, Cooperation, Courage, Courtesy and Common Sense.

Embraced school wide, these core values help us to create an environment throughout campus that allows students to grow in confidence and with a sense of responsibility to their community.

The 5 C's help guide our behavior as we strive to be a reflection of Christ in all that we say and do. Students are recognized and acknowledged for modeling The 5 C's.

"... PAES supports our students with love, praying for them and contributes [to] their needs in any situation. I have realized incredible results with my kids that because their Christian principles works together with our family's principles in different ways: social, academic, spiritual and personal. I confidently recommend PAES because academic Christian education makes big difference in our world today!!!" -Yelp review
