In addition to teaching 4 sections of History, I also teach Advanced Math and 1 section each of 7th and 8th grade Reading. As is consistent with my philosophy of education, I approach these classes from a practical and personally relevant standpoint.  Advanced Math contains a Personal Finance unit where students learn about how to manage their finances for maximum benefit and personal freedom.

Reading classes focus on comprehension and enjoyment, with a mix of current literature and classics being read plus required outside reading activities.

History made fun is history made interesting.  History that is interesting, is learned well.

Welcome to my home page!

The study of history here at PAES is intended to connect students to their families, the past, and the future.   By integrating technology and best teaching practices students are prepared for high school and life. It is my aim to create a learning environment that also prepares students for “the real world” - learning to use various research and presentation tools, working together with peers to create a product, and problem solving.  Students also understand the connections between the past, present, and future and learn how they are creating history through the choices they make.

History is fun and interesting!
