PAES Music |
|
PAES Music Department offers:
· A rich classroom environment. Classroom music is offered twice a week for grades one though four. Students receive instruction in theory, history, notation, songs and instruments of other cultures and various musical genres. In addition, the study of hymns and their composers has been added to the music curriculum.
· A total of six musical groups. We maintain a total of three choirs, three bands, and a handbell choir. Each group is exposed to an eclectic musical experience. On any given day, a visitor may hear a song of praise in Hebrew or Zulu, watch students put the final touches on a choreographed number, or chuckle as students learn to hula!
· Opportunities for public performances Each performing group participates in our Christmas and Spring concerts. However, they may also be seen performing in local churches. In addition, the junior high groups perform in malls during the Holiday season. They also travel to Seattle in the Spring for a weekend music tour.
· Private and group music lessons Students may opt to receive instruction in brass, woodwind, or percussion instruments. Piano lessons |
