Portland Adventist Elementary School is certified by the United States Federal government to accept foreign students interested in coming to this country to study in the elementary years.  The first step for such a student is to apply to the school for admission.  Once you have been accepted the school will give you a document called a Form I-20.  This form is a paper record of your registration information and acceptance provided to the SEVIS (Student & Exchange Visitor Information System) federal government database.  You will need this form to apply for your

F-1 visa.

 

In submitting an application to Portland Adventist Elementary School the following documents are necessary:

 

1.      Copy of previous school transcripts.

2.      Letter of recommendation from previous principal or school director.

3.      Letter indicating basic knowledge/exposure to the English language. (It should be noted that Portland Adventist Elementary School does not teach English as a second language).
