Portland Adventist Elementary middle school encourages parent involvement in the educational support of their children. Parent involvement has a significant impact on improving school performance and raising student achievement. The more parents participate, the more significant their influence is on student learning.
Hence, PAES teachers post middle school student grades on Edline. Parents will be given a password and instructions at the beginning of the year and they will be able to track their student’s grade performance throughout the quarter. This way, parents will better understand what is happening in their child’s education, and an open dialog between parent and teacher can be established. Thus, problems can be resolved and student success enhanced.
